Why parking needs more planning in 2026

The show remains at City Dock, but the City Dock Resiliency Project is changing the footprint. Current city information also notes boat-show-related closures in Ego Alley and temporary dinghy-dock changes. The show itself is extending farther onto Compromise and Randall streets as construction displaces traditional exhibit space.

The biggest parking issue: Saturday, October 10

Navy hosts Tulsa at Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. The stadium is commonly used for boat-show satellite parking in other years, so Saturday visitors should not assume normal stadium parking/shuttle availability. Check the official show parking page shortly before departure and have a downtown garage or rideshare backup.

ABG recommendation: Serious buyers should favor Thursday Preview Day or Friday if schedule permits. You are more likely to get unhurried time aboard boats, and you avoid the Saturday overlap with Navy football.

Downtown parking options to know

Visit Annapolis currently points visitors to city garages including Gott's Court, Knighton, Park Place and the State Garage. Availability, event pricing and shuttle service can change. Reserve in advance where possible and avoid relying on curbside parking during the show.

If you are arriving by boat

The City of Annapolis says multiple moorings and slips will be unavailable during the boat-show period. The Prince George Street dinghy dock will also be closed, with a temporary dinghy dock at Shipwright Street. Verify current Harbormaster instructions before arriving.

What to do the night before

  1. Confirm current parking and shuttle instructions on the official show site.
  2. Re-check your ticket QR code and show hours.
  3. Review the live exhibitor list and save dock locations for your top five boats.
  4. If attending Saturday, check Navy football traffic and stadium-parking restrictions.
  5. Wear easy-off shoes; many exhibitors require shoes off before boarding.
