Do not carry an old venue map forward

The organizer describes the Miami Beach Convention Center, Pride Park, Miami Beach Yacht Collection on Collins Avenue and Sailor’s Cove at IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami. Some location and map headings still say 2026, even alongside the 2027 schedule. Treat those as planning context and confirm the final 2027 map before travel. The practical lesson is to plan around the exact display. An indoor stand may suit a detailed equipment conversation, while an in-water appointment may be better for boarding and deck access. Do not schedule distant venues consecutively without checking the transport arrangements.

A Miami buyer’s comparison framework

First choose the mission. A boat for short social trips and a boat intended for repeated overnight cruising should not be judged against identical priorities. Decide how much cabin use, shade, seating and storage your normal crew requires before discussing an equipment package.

Inspect the closed-up layout. Ask how the cockpit works when terraces or large openings cannot be used. Check the path between the helm, head, galley and passenger seats. Photograph the working arrangement as well as the appealing show configuration.

Compare like-for-like proposals. Record engine configuration, installed options, delivered-price inclusions and who will support the boat at your home port. The name on a large show stand is not necessarily the service location you will use after handover.

Build a schedule that produces decisions

Reserve two priority walkthroughs and leave a third slot flexible. After each, write down one reason the boat fits and one issue that remains unresolved. A second visit should answer that unresolved issue—not merely repeat the tour.

Miami, Seattle and New England overlap in February. The right event is the one with the confirmed boats and local support conversations relevant to your purchase. Palm Beach in March may provide another opportunity once its next-edition display list is published.
